Care Home in Worcester

Henwick Grange Care Home is set just outside the Worcester city centre, with beautiful grounds and a 40-bed capacity. Staff at Henwick Grange offer dementia care, elderly care, end of life care, respite care and nursing care, working closely with residents to ensure they have the care and attention required while maintaining their independence and dignity.

Care at Henwick Grange Care Home

Providing 24-hour care and support for residents, the home is managed by Lauren Rose and her team of trained nurses and care assistants. Whether your stay is for the long term or simply to give a carer a well-earned break, all residents are made to feel comfortable.

We specialise in dementia care, providing our residents with a wide range of activities to help with memory recall and an opportunity to share stories and life experiences. A range of languages are spoken by staff, including English, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, Hungarian, Romanian, French and Chinese.

Facilities at Henwick Grange Care Home

Rooms are equipped with a sink and en suite toilet, giving residents as much independence as they wish, while still providing round-the-clock care to those who need it. We also have some rooms large enough for couples so they can move into our care home together without having to worry about living separately.

Our talented chef and catering team ensure nutritional needs are met for every individual, with traditional home-cooked food available and world food on themed nights. They use herbs planted in our garden by our residents to create flavoursome dishes, and for those who require purées, our chef uses special silicone moulds to make the food more appetising.

The grounds of the care home feature large gardens and seating areas, all of which can be enjoyed by residents with their friends and family where they can watch wildlife, go for a stroll and even get involved in gardening activities. As a pet-friendly facility, we also encourage families and friends of our residents to bring their pets along for a visit!

Activities at Henwick Grange Care Home

The nursing home has a dedicated activities coordinator who creates a schedule of stimulating events and hobbies for the residents so that they have plenty of social engagements to take part in. These include baking, pet therapy, exercise club, bingo, quizzes, flower arranging, movie showings, and much more!

We celebrate key calendar events with all of our residents, including an annual winter fayre at Christmas, a summer party with live music and dancing, and a visit from our local bunny farm at Easter, to name just a few.

As dementia care specialists, the aim of all of our activities is to keep the minds and bodies of our residents active and engaged, testing their motor skills and providing memory aids for good physical and mental health. We provide touch therapy with hand and feet massages, and visits from local kids clubs to reduce loneliness and improve cognitive and physical responses.
