Portland Supported Living supports up to 21 people with complex needs, mental health issues, learning disabilities or autism.
Portland provides care and support to people within their own tenancy or living environment, either shared or solo for people who present with behaviours which challenge or those who struggle to share a living environment.
This role requires a confident, passionate individual looking to make a huge difference.
Our environments have been adapted and created to ensure as well as the people we support, staff safety is a priority and physical intervention because of this, has been used twice in neatly 12 years.
We support people who require 1:1 support, 2:1 support or at times 3:1 support, but have created environments where when a person becomes distressed, staff are able to withdraw and allow people to self-regulate within their home environment meaning our approach is always least restrictive and person centred.
We have a new Training and Development Strategy for 2023/2024 where we are focusing in service specific training and building our teams to become an even better social care provider.
This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for people who share our values, vision and passion for supporting people with learning disabilities.
We have a central Hub, where activities, volunteer roles for people we support and a running café is based which encourages social inclusion, interaction and people to have the opportunity to safely interact and meet with others.
We are currently in the process of developing a sensory area within the scheme and developing our garden areas.
