Our staff are also qualified to deal with different levels of dependencies, including:
Freshly cooked, tasty food is one of our specialities. Our in-house chef gives our residents plenty of choice, making sure our meals are tempting, healthy and nutritious. We promote independence where possible, while always making sure that someone is on hand to offer assistance to those who need it.
We pride ourselves on providing each and every one of our residents with a home away from home so that they feel settled and enjoy their stay with us. To achieve this, some of the facilities we offer include:

Our dedicated activities coordinator creates a schedule of events and classes that benefit the health and well-being of our residents. We carefully choose our activities to promote involvement and inclusion so residents feel fulfilled, connected and competent. These include:
Residents can also have some quiet one-to-one time with a member of our team for moments when they would prefer to have a chat in a calm environment.

Our central location in Cleckheaton, Kirklees means there is plenty for residents and their family and friends to enjoy in the nearby areas. There is a selection of eateries and bars all within a short walking distance from the home, and the King Edward VII Memorial Park is just a 5-minute walk away for those looking for a change of scenery.
Nearby Kirklees towns Gomersal, Drub and Scholes are all under a 10-minute drive away from the home and all have good transport links, making them easily accessible by bus. For a trip slightly further afield, Halifax, Dewsbury and Bradford are all within a 20-minute drive from Birch Park Care Home. Local attractions in these areas include Ogden Water Country Park and Nature Reserve, National Science and Media Museum, The Piece Hall, and Ponderosa Zoo.
We are always on the lookout for caring, compassionate people to join our talented team – if you want to make a difference, simply take a look at the current jobs available on our Careers and & Vacancies and send us your CV. Alternatively, you can send this over to the care home directly.
We have committed staff working in the kitchens, which have recently been fitted with new equipment, dedicated to cooking varied and nutritious food menus from scratch, whilst still providing old favourites, such as eggy bread and corned beef sandwiches.
We often incorporate family recipes or particular favourites into our menus. There’s nothing like a pan of corned beef hash or a plate of eggy bread served up to bring back good memories or tempt someone’s appetite.
If you would like to know more about Birch Park Care Home, such as our facilities and activities, please get in touch with a member of our team today.
